My Approach
I look at life and mental health as a series of stories or narratives. Some of it we write ourselves, and a lot of it is written for us by our contexts and the world at large. I see therapy as a space to edit, rewrite, challenge, and explore your authentic stories, and live a life aligned with those values. I work with narrative theory, feminist theory, behavioral techniques, and psychodynamic perspectives in my work, while being mindful of culture and its unique forces on identity. I am always excited to work with various sexual and gender identities, and couples.

What To Expect
As a therapist, my job is to develop a strong connection with you, and help you get to a deeper understanding of the issue you are coming in with. From there, we will work together to identify pragmatic ways of addressing them, while imbibing joy and authenticity in your identities.
More About Me
I am an Indian/South Asian gay cisgender male, who was also a third culture kid having grown up in the Middle East and India. All in all, I am keenly aware of the way context shapes your worldview and identities, and the work it takes to unlearn and relearn to find your true life story. As an Advanced Clinical Intern, I am currently an Ed.M. and M.A. candidate in Counseling Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University.
